Snow Tubing in OKC Through New Year!

Snow Tubing at Bricktown Ballpark

OKC is a bit of a drive for this family, but some events are just too cool to miss! Snow Tubing in Bricktown definately fits the bill.

We can't wait to go slipping down the towering slide of snow recently installed at SBC Bricktown Ballpark. Stretching from the second deck to second base, this snow-tubing run is the largest of its kind in the world...right in Bricktown! There is a smaller slide for kids, hot concessions and a snowman building area.

Make sure you buy your tickets early as they have been selling out.

I would hate for you to make a special trip for nothing.

We tried to get in and had to go ice skating instead. An employee there said we needed to buy our tickets first thing in the morning.

Hopefully we will get to try and do it again.

P.S. You can't use your own sled. They provide the tubes.

Bummer. I doubt if I can make it early in the morning. Oh well, I am glad the event is a success anyway.

I think my chances of successfully ice skating are minimal. I never mastered roller skates and it looks just about the same... only colder.

Thanks for the tip, tj!

Maybe you could buy your 'wristbands' a few days before?

Do you live far away?

I would hate for you guys to miss it.

Oh, not too far away. We live about 45 minutes south of Tulsa. Maybe the lines will lighten up after Christmas.

*****alert!!!! We attended the Bricktown snow tubing even on 12-15-07. We have been several times before without incident however there was a problem with the ramp that left 4 of us injured. It was like a huge pothole and was not safe at all. We ran into others that we knew and they all had the same complaint. One person in our party ended her evening with a trip to the ER. Definately not a safe place.

We went to the Snow tubing last night and it was the most fun !!!! It is definately a family oriented awesome time. I highly recommend going.

Be careful, I am suffering from a tailbone injury from a session in 2009. I hit one of those "potholes" where the slide transitions to the stopping area. I went to the 8pm session on a warm day. I suspect the warm temps created the pothole with melting, and it wasn't maintained between sessions.
